How To Setup L2TP on iOS

Get WorldVPN Credentials

  1. Ensure you have your WorldVPN account credentials ready, including your username, password, and the server address. Find your assigned server address by logging into the VPN panel at https://www.worldvpn.net/client/login and navigating to the Servers menu. Note: For L2TP, use the preshared key "worldvpn".

Add VPN Configuration

  1. Go to your iOS device's settings.
  2. Tap on "VPN" or "General" > "VPN" to access the VPN settings.
  3. Tap on "Add VPN Configuration.
  4. Select "L2TP" as the VPN type

Fill in Details

  1. Description: Enter a name for the VPN connection (e.g., WorldVPN L2TP).
  2. Server: Server Address: Find your assigned server address by logging into the VPN panel at https://www.worldvpn.net/client/login and navigating to the Servers menu.
  3. Account: Enter your WorldVPN username.
  4. Password: Input your WorldVPN password.
  5. Secret: Enter "worldvpn" as the preshared key.
  6. Send All Traffic: Ensure this is enabled.

Save Configuration

  1. Tap "Done" or "Save" in the top right corner to save the VPN configuration.

Connect to WorldVPN

  1. Activate VPN Connection: Go back to the VPN settings and toggle the switch to enable the VPN connection you just created.
  2. Authenticate: If prompted, enter your username and password again.

Verify Connection

  1. Once connected, you should see a VPN icon in the status bar. You can also check the VPN settings to ensure the connection is active and displaying the "Connected" status next to your configured L2TP VPN.
